Have you heard of Kolyo the mama boy? He was a real person, who was born in Plovdiv in 1896. He remained unmarried and lived with his mother and sister. His mother would always call him ‘Mama’s favourite boy’. People remembered him as a cheerful and sociable guy. He used to work as a draughtsman at the town hall. The Dzhakov house, commonly referred to as the Castle, became the set of a popular TV series. From its tower, the entire city lies before one’s eyes.
